Each neighborhood is scored using an absolute COLI (Cost of Living Index), calculated by multiplying the city's baseline COLI by the neighborhood's local multiplier. A lower score means a more affordable place to live.

Our COLI data is compiled from multiple sources including Numbeo, Expatistan, OECD, and ECB.
